North Cascades CPA is the combined force that once was Stanford Munko & Co. and V.L. Scott & Associates. When we made the decision to merge operations, both our firms dramatically increased their ability to provide a higher level of service to our clients and unlocked new potential for technological and operational advancement. As we enter this exciting new chapter, we look forward to finding new ways to better serve our clients. Merging companies has opened the door for greater collaboration on complex client issues and will allow us to better serve our clients into the future.

David Munko, CPA

Dave has been assisting individual and business clients with their tax and accounting matters since 1983. He succeeded his father, Anthony Munko as a managing member of Stanford, Munko & Co. in 1993. Dave’s focus is to develop a deep understanding of his clients and their priorities so he can deliver the best tax results and advice and also to be ready to assist with financial questions that occur as clients progress through their lives. He is constantly mentoring his associates to ensure that this focus carries through all the work the firm provides.

VL Scott Hendrickson, CPA

Scott spent the first 25 years of his career working as a contract CFO for companies throughout the Northwest. 19 years ago, Scott started a firm that focused on helping the owners of many of those companies with tax strategy and preparation, financial statement reviews and compilations, and business advisory services. Scott recently merged that firm into North Cascades CPA PLLC, and now uses his 30+ years of blended experience to guide our company and clients to their maximum potential.

James Powers, CPA

Jim has been a long-time member of Stanford, Munko & Co. He and his partners recently merged their operations into North Cascades CPA PLLC. This is part of their plan to ensure their clients have a local CPA firm with the right experience and team to work with for years to come. Jim has 40 plus years of experience working with local families and businesses in the northwest. He helps with financial statement work, and specializes in tax planning and preparation for individuals, partnerships, LLCs, trusts, and estates.

Chris Sullivan, CPA

Chris has been a long-time member of Stanford, Munko & Co. He and his partners recently merged the operations at their firm into North Cascades CPA PLLC. Chris has been an integral part of bringing technological and operational improvements to the firm and has 30 years of experience as a CPA working with local families and businesses in the Northwest. Chris is an expert at tax strategy who enjoys working with individuals and companies of all sizes. He has also helped grow our HOA audit practice.

Brian Botnen, CPA

Brian has been a long-time member of Stanford, Munko & Co. He and his partners recently merged the operations at their firm into North Cascades CPA PLLC. This is part of their plan to ensure their clients have a local CPA firm with the right experience and team to work with for years to come. Brian has 35 years of experience as a CPA working with local families and businesses in the Northwest. Brian has also helped grow our HOA Audit practice.

Austin Hendrickson, CPA

Austin is the newest member of our leadership team at North Cascades CPA. As a graduate of UW’s Foster School of Business, with years of experience in a large regional CPA firm’s audit department, Austin brings top notch business financials, technology, and cutting-edge industry knowledge to the team. He now co-manages our financial statements and audit division and works closely with the other partners to learn from them and lead where needed.
